I know that you’ll want a ceremony that’s unique and personal. I’ll draw from my background in writing, counselling and theatre to create deeply personal ceremonies, crafted with creativity, sensitivity, love and heart. I come highly praised for my ability to write beautiful prose, find exactly the right poem or reading and deliver my ceremonies with heartfelt genuineness. People often comment on my beautiful smile, kindness and warmth.

A celebrant - led wedding ceremony can be whatever you would like it to be, usually happening alongside a legal wedding or civil partnership.

  • A day for you to feel seen and heard, affirmed and celebrated as you are - your special day will be infused with love and care.

  • It can include readings, prayers, poetry, music, songs, bridesmaids, groomsmen and other attendants, elements of handfasting or other religious or spiritual ceremonies – in fact, almost anything you would like! You won’t be restricted by time limits or registrar rules or regulations.

  • Pets can come too, depending on the venue and the temperament of the pet (not all pets would be happy or safe to attend).

  • Rings can be exchanged and vows written and spoken – or even sung!

  • Your love story can be told and celebrated.

  • Children can be part of the ceremony.

In short, a celebrant - led ceremony can be completely bespoke for you and personal to you – a true reflection of who you are and what you want to make your special day unique – different or traditional, quirky or simple, genuine and heartfelt and entirely your own.

A celebrant - led ceremony could include:

  • A warm welcome for guests, and setting the scene.

  • Your story, including your own words and those of friends and family.

  • A description of your life together now and your aspirations, dreams and hopes for the future - and what love means to each of you.

  • Vows and promises.

  • An exchange of rings or other symbolic objects or gifts.

  • Tree or seed planting, ceremonies involving food and drink, elements of handfasting or anything else that is meaningful or important to you.

  • Asking for the support of friends and family.

  • A beautiful ending to lead you into the celebrations to come!

What I include:

  • An initial face to face visit.

  • An online or telephone follow up chat.

  • A full script (including vows/promises and readings/poems support if required).

  • One set of script edits.

  • Carrying out the ceremony.

  • A rehearsal on the same day as the ceremony (rehearsals on different days will be charged separately).

  • A simple souvenir script will be posted after the ceremony.
